Dr. Timothy Keller, pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City, preached this sermon on Sunday, October 25, 1992 on Matthew 11:20-30. God isn’t just a God of love, but He is a God of wrath as well. He doesn’t just teach us, but He judges us as well. Keller says:
We all know that there is a moral standard higher than our own hearts. But if that’s true, how could we ever face God’s judgment? Yet he is not just our teacher – he is the judge who has been judged in our place so that we can have rest.
